Statement:

With this series, I am investigating the birth and death of identity.  Essentially, I am exploring the cycle of self growth and how it is constantly corrupted by the search for it.

I feel myself evolving so fast and absorbing so much, and I grow anxious trying to stand still in transition. I become torn between searching for the peace of comfortably knowing who I am and my environment, or accepting the fact that I must move with my life as I’m living it. This mid ground and my tunnel vision on self awareness, structure, truth feeds the divide between the reality of the world and the world as I perceive it. My shadow, my reflection, my art are these representations of self that help bridge that gap between the world I inhabit and the world in my head. I am seeking evidence of myself in my surroundings. Validating my identity through my environment to ground me while I change.

I am identifying waves of foreign feelings that hit me but I can not understand. The waves flood your understanding but fuel an awakening.

Identity is a fluid concept, and when dissected analytically I become a rock in that river.
